Despatch Operative
Redditch - Starting pay: £12.71 per hour
APN Recruitment is recruiting a reliable and organised Despatch Operative to join a small, supportive team in a hands-on role with genuine progression and full one-to-one training.
This is a physical, practical position suited to someone who enjoys structure, organisation, and taking responsibility for getting orders out accurately and on time.

Your day-to-day duties will include:
• Working as part of a small despatch team
• Packing products accurately and preparing delivery notes
• Collating products against sales orders and daily schedules
• Organising and booking deliveries with couriers and carriers
• Managing both UK and international shipments
• Tracking deliveries and resolving any issues
• Updating spreadsheets for delivery and invoicing purposes
• Managing stock levels within the department
• Liaising with purchasing to ensure materials are ordered on time
• Communicating with managers, drivers, and internal teams
What we’re looking for:
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Clear communication skills
• Comfortable using IT systems and spreadsheets
• A practical, hands-on approach to work
• Able to work to deadlines and follow schedules accurately
• Pedestrian pallet truck licence PPT

Training & progression:
This is a developing role with structured, one-to-one training:
• Starting with packing products and delivery documentation
• Progressing into organising and scheduling deliveries to deadlines
• Training on booking and tracking domestic and international shipments
• Gradual responsibility for stock control and departmental organisation
Hours:
You will work on a rotating shift pattern:
Earlies
• Monday–Thursday: 5:45am–1:45pm
• Friday: 5:45am–12:55pm
Lates
• Monday–Thursday: 1:45pm–9:45pm
• Friday: 1:45pm–8:05pm
Pay
• Starting pay: £12.71 per hour
